I also made a quick stop at some local thrift stores to check them out - will stick w/my "usuals" - but did manage to find a few I couldn't leave behind:
I also received some during the Christmas season:
(That one on the right was given to me by Mrs. Claus when she visited the Library during the holidays.)
I have to admit that books are "my one weakness" to quote a character from my favorite PBS series. However, if you know Dorcas Lane, you also know all about her 'one weakness'.
Anyway, I confess to having (being possessed by?) many, many books. I do occasionally go through them to try to eliminate some - a difficult task.
This is the main set of bookshelves in the living room. But, I also have a small bookcase in the little hall between the bedrooms...
and another in the spare bedroom/sewing room with craft books. (sigh)
Occasionally, I find a book that just delights me - an unexpected treasure. The Farm Book by Rien Poortvliet is just such a book. Every page is filled with the most wonderful illustrations of life on a small Dutch farm. If you can find it, you'll surely enjoy it.
