Random Saturday Morning Notes...

- Another morning of waking up at 3:30am. Did manage today to go back to sleep for about an hour... I do like being up in the early morning hours - just not THIS early! Eating breakfast at 5am, I'm ready for lunch by 10:30! Really messes with my day...

- Since the beginning of Advent, I've been attending Sunday services at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. I've met some wonderful people, and I'm really happy to be 'back home' in the Episcopal Church. The women's group (St. Luke's Guild) held their annual Snowflake Faire in early December...and I won a grand raffle prize: a bountiful (and beautiful) wine-and-cheese basket! My family & I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it.

- We've had some snow overnight - not enough to be a problem, just enough to "pretty it up" a bit. But I don't think it will last - mid-30s temperatures are predicted during the next week.

- I think if I am to be a successful blogger, I must decide just why I'm blogging. I originally started out to post about my garden. Obviously, no gardening is taking place now during January - although the seed catalogs are arriving - YAY! I've taken dozens of photos of craft projects I've worked on for the holidays, originally to post here... That will go on my TO-DO list under Blog.

- Saturday is Baking Day, so I'm off to the kitchen to start some bread...then maybe some cookies. And maybe I'll remember to take photos!

I'm making some pumpkin butter... if we were neighbors we could combine our Saturday efforts so beautifully...

Yum! Pumpkin butter! Well, we're kind of neighbors...only a little more than shouting distance apart... :)
