May God bless you with discomfort
at easy answers, half-truths,
and superficial relationships
so that you may live deep
within your heart.
May God bless you with anger
at injustice, oppression,
and exploitation of people,
so that you may work for justice,
freedom, and peace.
May God bless you with tears
to shed for those who suffer pain,
rejection, hunger, and war,
so that you may reach out your
hand to comfort them and
to turn their pain into joy.
And may God bless you with
enough foolishness
to believe that you can make
a difference in the world,
so that you can do what others
claim cannot be done
to bring justice and kindness to
all our children and the poor.
Amen

Heck, I'll just invite myself over for a girls canning weekend and throw in a little lesson...
count me in......hope you get it.
I'll take all the expert knowledge I can get. We can have it at my house because I'm roughly in the middle of the two of you. You better win!!!
Wouldn't that be fun?!?! I'd love to meet both of you!
I've been in contact with the woman who is selling the canner - she works about 2 blocks away from me! Somehow, I think this is "my" canner... (smile)
We should try to do it, sometime before the snow flies, whether or not you win the canner.
How does Kelli's offer to meet at her house sound? Maybe after the hectic-ness (is that a word?) of summer has slowed... of course, for the two of you, the busyness of harvest season will be upon us... me, too, I guess. But, I like the "before the snow flies" idea - that certainly gives us a deadline! LOL
Let's do it......did you win the canner? Let's set the date, definitely before the snow flies.
Hey, count me in too!
Hey, Jess - how close are you to Kathie?
YAY!!! I got the canner! I'll probably be able to pick it up after work tomorrow.
Yippee-skippee!
Congrats on the win! Jess is only 20 minutes from me, we could car pool...
I can't wait.
