Last Weekend's Busy-ness

I painted my bedroom last weekend...finally. I have had the paint for longer than I will admit. It was a 'found' deal at either Lowes or Home Depot in the "mistakes/bargains/leftovers" stash. I sometimes look this over to see if there's anything I could use.

Since I bought this a while ago, it took a week's worth of shaking, stirring, re-positioning of the can to get it mixed well enough. Anything would look better than the very thin white over dark blue splotchy job that was there when I moved in.

I hate doing all the prep work - I just want to paint! But it's always worth it, I tell myself (I know this from experience.) Since I started prepping earlier in the week, I was able to doing all the painting on Friday evening, then the touch-up on Saturday.

All finished and furniture back in on Sunday evening. Looks pretty good. After sleeping on the couch for two nights, the painting, plus digging two garden beds on Sunday my body was grateful to climb back into the bed on Sunday evening.

Looks very nice :) We just purchase a 5 gallon drum of mistint at Home Depot for very little, it did a great job in our family room/hallway. A nice creamy buttery colour.
