Irises

I do love irises. At my previous home, in Pocatello, I had the dark purple irises growing along the whole side of the house. When they needed thinning, I passed some on to my daughter who had moved to CDA. Because I moved up here in the middle of January, I couldn't bring anything from my garden down there with me. So, when it came time for her to thin out her dark purple irises, guess who was able to get some to plant?!?!

The light purple ones were planted all along the front of the duplex - in such a tangled mess that they were barely blooming any more. By the end of my first summer I was able to finally get them all dug out but ran out of time to plant them 'nicely' so they stay in a big clump all winter. I've since managed to plant them into some beds which they seem to like because they are doing just fine. Maybe the irises are loving this cool wet weather we're having...?
